Butter London Macbeth

Macbeth was my last choice in the Butter London BOGO sale and I wasn't crazy about it and thought I'll just go trade it out but when I put it on i found It was the perfect red.  No other way to put it.  It went on great with two coats and I am dying to wear it soon.  I am glad I made this choice.  It really makes a great addition to my reds collection.

So, a lot of people do not like red are you a red nail polish wearer or do you just hate red?

Maybelline Color Show The Denims

Maybelline has come out with a new line of nail polish that is absolutely one of the best I have seen in a while. It is called the color show collection. One of the mini collections in the line is the denims. When I saw them I knew I had to have them. I found them at a CVS for $4.00 a bottle. I saw them at Wal-Mart for $3.50 a bottle. They really are great polishes. Dry time is a little longer than OPI but that is ok. The colors are just so pretty. I got the denims to wear with denim. Sometimes you just don't know what color to wear and these are perfect because they will go with any light or dark denim. I really give these two thumbs up.

Orly Velvet Robe

I did go change Velvet Robe.  I am much happier with it but I found another one I really like on ebay.  I'll probably order it this week.  I am just dying for the James Bond OPI collection because I am going to buy the whole thing.  Ok, I  bought it all.   My husband was sitting right there and said yeah that is a good deal it is $6.00 a bottle.  He knows I'll eventually buy it all anyway if I want it but knows I will not buy other things to have this collection.  OK, back to Velvet Robe it is a really regal purple with a slight bit of shinies.  Check it out.

Ok, Goldie insisted on being in this post because she went with me to Sally's to trade the polish.  I have like a little stroller for her and she really did  behave really well.  She says she is not getting enough air time.  So, Goldie says hi and she is totally waiting to go to sleep right now so she will just have to wait till I am finished and I'll have to tell her she wanted her new picture posted.  Her birthday is coming up so we are going to have a little birthday party for her.  No other dogs will be there because she has no friends except her dumb baby daddy.  I have a picture of that mutt I am going to post it soon.  Well, that is all for Goldie and me.  Time for bed.

COLOR CLUB LOVE EM OR LEAVE EM

Color Club's Love 'em or Leave 'em is a neutral holo.  When I found this I knew I had to have it.  It is so perfect for those days that you do want a little something but need to be low key.  Here is your answer and the great thing about this polish is that it will stamp on white.  I was playing around with it today and I have Worth the Risque from Color Club a white holo so I can't wait to put it on and stamp with this polish.  I love the ethereal look.  So, watch for some creation like that very soon.  The good this too is that you can get this polish on ebay or amazon for around $6.00.  I am always looking for a bargain but I have to no one gives me polish and I like a lot of different polishes, so anytime I can get a bargain I go for it.

What do you think?  Do you think it is kind of an old lady polish?   I do.  So you won't offend me if you say yes, but I am a grandmother.  But I don't have one polish that I can't think.  I cannot do anything with this unless the formula is really bad .

So what do you think?

Butter London Artful Dodger

This is the blue holo from the Butter London collection.  I was going to get Lady Muck but decided to stay with the holo.  It went on smooth but did need three coats.  I absolutely love the color it looks blue but could pass for gray.

I've been showing a lot of holos.  I didn't know I had so many.  I can't wait to really wear this polish because it is just so pretty and delicate.  I cut my nails and they went a little too short but they grow pretty fast so by next week they should be back to normal plus I am really excited because I am getting my hair cut tomorrow because it has grown enough that it doesn't look weird.  I just somehow ended up with some really long bangs and I haven't had bangs since I was like 21, so meantime I have been wearing a lot of barrettes and headbands.  Yom Kippur starts next Monday so again, I will be out of pocket but I will schedule my posts so you won't even know I am gone.  The only thing is that they will be short and I won't ramble.  I know alot of you are jumping up and down bujt I'll be back.

Ciao for now,
Patty

No Plain Jane and Hits Phenomena Moonbow

When I got Moonbow I was really freaked out because it was one color then it turned another color what I did not know is that it is a shifting glitter that you can put on any color nail polish.  You could put I on green, teal, or even a dark pink.  The camera could not pick up all the different colors and I could not contort my  hands to take the picture.  I took around 40 pictures so, I really hope I pick the best ones that can show how it shifts  Borealis is one of the gift prizes and it can go on several colors also.  Taking it off was a easy even though it is glitter it comes off easily with acetone since the glitters are so small

It is hard to tell the color shifts but believe me they are there.  Some people don’t like polish that changes colors, I do, what about you?

Zoya Natty

Well, I am back and boy did I have a lot of mail.  I am going to be swatching all week but I can't help it I am going to have to stamp or do something.  This Natty that I did not get from the BOGO sale because I could not remember the name but when I got my reciept, it said that you could order more polish and not pay shipping so I took advantage of that and got Natty.  I am really glad I did because I don't have anything like it.  It is a cross between teal and navy blue.  It is a creme and goes on like butter.

butter London Wallis

I bought Wallis last month and forgot I bought it.  I found it today and wanted to share it with you all today.  It went on great dried fast and with it's yellow background sparkle it is really pretty.  It does fall into the neutral category in which I think you can wear it with almost any color except red.  Red is a hard color to match up sometimes.  But it is going to be around for the fall.  Color blocking will be big this fall.  I don't always dress according to trend.  I might buy one or two items but then I just stick to what I like.  When I was younger I was always a season ahead.  When flared jeans came out I a pair the year before.  Same goes with polish.  Buy what you like, what looks good on you and what you can afford.   I look through my nail polish and think I have a lot of polish.  Like I bought the whole OPI Holland Collection and I must admit there are colors I have not used.  So, with the German line I only bought the ones I liked.  The new butter London has one more color I really want so, I might get it tomorrow.  Well ok here is Wallis

Yesterday’s mail

DSCF3475

This is yesterday’s mail.  I got 2 Cult Nails Evil Queen and Manipulative, Orly’s Hang Ten, It’s Not Rocket Science and I got the Velvet Robe,  Then from Butter London, I got Artsy Dodger, Henley Regatta, Macbeth and Knackered  also a little shipment from GlimmerbyErica I Heart You.  One of the polishes are in the giveaway and I gotta say these are close to Lynderellas.  I still have not found those $20.00 Lynderellas on eBay and I look every day.

So, enjoy the swatching show for  a bit.  I ordered a whole bunch of OPI’s that you all are going to love and I still have my Elvis collection.  I have to say that I really think OPI is my favorite polish.  Do you have a for sure favorite brand of polish and if you do what is it?

Ciao for now,

Patty

Sparkly Nails for the Holidays

Some of you may know that there are only two days of the year Jews are required to spend time at temple well that will be Sunday night and Monday for the New Year.  This is a celebration so people wear their fancy clothes.  I will be wearing a black and white dress and even though I kind of act silly or immature in real life I am expected to act grown-up, except around our rabbi.  He is so cool.   I am really close to him we are the same age and we kind of grew up at the same time.  So, I see him acting very grown-up, I laugh.  So, I am wearing Katamiss kiss with Lion Herd on the tips.  It is perfect for this occasion.  It just kind of shows that you can be subdued and still look young.

What do you think?  Is it way too boring? Or just right for an immature adult acting grown-up?

Deborah Lippmann Let's Hear it For the Boy

I saw this and knew I had to have it.  It is a baby blue.  I know my niece is going to see it and want here nails painted.  It is a little like china glaze sea spray but without a gray undertone.
It is just a clean light blue.  It would look good on any skin tone.  I was surprised at how smooth the application was, usually they are a little thick but this one was perfect.

So, nice color or just no way, not for me?
Ciao,
Patty

I have a secret

My secret is that, I really like pink polish.  I read so many blogs with girls saying they really don't like pink.  When I was younger I did not used to either but somewhere along the line I really started to like it.  I am a girly girly.  I never real brothers.  I don't even know how to ride a bike.  So, what can you expect.  I have two sons and all I really knew was they pee in your face when you change their diapers, they have to get circumcised and they wear blue.   So, I did that and just loved them like a mother should but didn't play sports.  I only played tennis, they were not interested.  I was good at Orly
shopping for them.  Then, my daughter same along and I wasn't lost.  Dolls, dresses, lipstick and polish.  See, I just like pink polish.
So, Sally Beauty Supply is having a sale on Orly nail polish.  Two for twelve, so I picked up a couple.  This one is called Sugar Plum.  I meant to get Sante Fe Rose but I like this one and will probably get it this week.  They will be on sale all month.  I am going to have a lot of swatches this week.  But I am still in the challenge.  I learned a really cool trick I am dying to share.  The glue as a base for glitter worked GREAT!   I have just happen to come across some fabulous OPI's.  The Bond series has already been released in Europe so, that means we should not be far behind.  Keep an eye out on EBay.  As far as the formula goes.  It's Orly.  It is good.  Quick dry time and smooth application.
So, here she is Sugar Plum.

I really like it.  What do you think?
Ciao,
Patty
