One of My Dream Polishes

I was reading Polishaholic's blog and she asked the question what would be your ideal nail polish and I clearly remember saying something in a pink with a little duochrome.  I found it.  It was serendipity.  Llarowe sent me a message saying a polish I wanted was available so I went to the site to buy it and well while I was there I had to shop around.

I had heard about Pretty Serious Polish but never really tried it or seen too many swatches of it.  So, is started looking and there it was as a matter of fact there were two.  I decided on one and will eventually get the other.  The name of the polish is Claris and it is to die for if you like pink.  It has gold flakes and goes on like a dream.  It is just so pretty, I love it.  As a matter of fact I love their whole line and you know what that means.  I'll be spending some Pretty Serious money on polish.  That worked out pretty well.  So, here is one of my dream polishes.

Cute bottle.

See the gold flecks and hints of yellow.

Doesn't this ring look perfect with this polish

And look at how cute the box is.  I know that I wrote a post called buyer beware and it was about keeping your polish in dark boxes because after a while the polish will take on the color of the box.
Here is a link to the post http://pattyandgoldiesdayoff.blogspot.com/2012_09_09_archive.html if you want to read it.   It is fine to buy a polish without a box but think about when you buy a pair of shoes, don't you want them in the box and not just thrown in a bag.  I know eventually you will throw the box away but there is something so cute about a bottle of polish in a box.  Like shoes in a box.

Ciao for now,
Patty

Divinity by Ninja Polish

Hi,
I lucked out like I said  I got this beauty two weeks ago.  I know but it is shoulda, coulda woula, but now here it is.  I put it on and it looked pretty but I felt it wasn't living up to the hype.  I looked at the bottle in the sun and saw this spectrum of colr but I wasn't seeing it.  I just kept taking pictures in all kinds of weird positions and then it happened.  I captured a little of the douchrome.  I was so excited because I can't always capture that duochrome.  I was pretty excited.

This is my signature ring picture and this little koala bear is so cute.  Koalas are found only in Australia and Australians do not think they are cute at all because they behave like opossums do.  They are both marsupials so it makes sense that they would behave the same.  Just a geeky biological tidbit.

Ninja Polish Ambrosia

About two weeks ago, I was lucky enough to score the two new Ninja polish exclusives and they are something different than the usual polish.  This red is so gorgeous in the sun it is amazing.  You can’t find polishes like this in the store.  It has tiny gold flecks and the color shifts move with the movement of your hand.  I love that.  I just feel that the movement of a woman’s hand is so feminine and just brings being a woman all together.  I see women who have clean nails and might be wearing the most beautiful outfit but no polish and it kills the beauty but then you see a woman wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt with immaculate nails and she looks beautiful.  I love painting my nails and taking that away from me would be like taking my medication away I would go crazy.  So, paint on, girls.

Tri Color Challenge Entry 2

I am totally loving laser tape.  It took a while to get the hang of it but I love it now.  So, I did a laser tape mani.  I painted half the nail green and half orange.  I laid some tape in vertical and horizontal lines then painted  purple over the tape and took the tape off as soon as it was painted.  These are easy manicures and look really neat.  If you haven’t tried it give it a try.  I got the laser tape on amazon for like $2.00.

Kimber’s Challenge A-Z Letter K

K stands for Kerfluffle.  What the hell is kerfluffle.  I thought it might be a pastry but nope it is a British word for a fuss.   Like Queen Elizabeth made such a kerfluffle when Harry played strip pool.  You learn something new everyday.  I really like this color I got it a when it came out and I am just starting to swatch it.  It is a smooth crème.  It reminds me of a peach sorbet.  Formula is great and this is two coats with one coat of Nubar Diamond top coat.  K- Kerfluffle.

I was pretty lucky this month, I got the gold Julep Maven box this month.  I won a giveaway but haven’t won one this month.  The Julep box was cool though.  First it came in a gold box and I just thought they changed the boxes but I knew I was wrong .

Crumpet’s Tri-Color Challenge

So, I joined another challenge it is the Tri-Color Challenge.  We are given three colors and have to use only those colors for four postings.  The only colors we can use is a purple of our choice, a coral and a green.  The colors I chose were Zoya’s Arizona (coral), Zoya’s Suvi, (purple) and China Glaze Close Encounters (green).  A little hard?  So, far it is ok.  Today I did the most obvious to me a water marble.  I only did three fingers and painted the pinkie green and thumb coral.  I just think it brings out the colors of the marble that way.  Here is my entry.  Let’s see what the other girls did.

What I Wore on St. Paddy's Day

This post is going to be totally promoting a polish that I bought.  It is .......Shamrock Floam.  I love floam and I got this one to shine which reinforces my belief in my new favorite top coat.  I put three coats of Seche Vite on my right hand which I should have.  I like mattes but sometimes I like shiny.  I used Nubar Diamond top coat.  It works great.  The only down side is that you have to clean up right away because it is hard as a rock.  The other down side is you need to order it.  It is less expensive than Seche Vite on Amazon but do what I do order a bottle every week.  I still use Seche Vite when I am going to stamp.
Now, about this floam, it is the same as the rest of them in consistently.  I find you just have to wait another minute than with normal polishes for it to dry and if you have not visited Ninja polish lately you gotta check out their polishes.  They have some beautiful ones.  I have two more that I will be posting this week so keep an eye out.  I am still doing Kimber's A-Z challenge, we post on Wednesday and I am doing Crumpet's tri- color challenge.  We post on Tuesday and Thursday.  Our first post is tomorrow, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with these next three days.
