Yesterday I finally got my invoice, from Llarowe so , I can't wait, it will be my first set and I am getting everything on my wish list. Another project is taking some of my time. I'll try yo post at least twice a week till I I am done with this project in two weeks.

Nerd Lacquer

In case you have been on another universe everyone in the nail polish world knows that there is a great movement in the independant nail polish world.  It is new and exciting and I for one am totally on the band wagon.  Today I am wearing The Quantim Bluniverse.  It is duo chrome in that it changes from green to blue and has silver glitter.  It is a two coater and lasts several days.  I always use two coats of top coat.  Just out of habit.  I am not sure if this color is still available but totally worth the money.  NerdLacquer can be found on Etsy, Ninja Polish and Harlow and CO. 

Zoya Polka Dots

I have both beach and surf collection from Zoya but I am sure anyone reading this has seen them all over the place I felt like doing something fun with the colors and this is what I came up with.  The texture and staying power of the polish is great but do need to note that Zuza and Wednesday (the blue ones of the collection) do stain your nails.  I usually use a buffer to get the stain out or you can try two coats of base coat.

I used Konad plates m 71  and  m64.

Ciate Caviar Manicure

Today, I woke up by the UPS man to get this delivered.  I had almost forgotten I had ordered this.  I know there is a controvesy about this manicure but I had already ordered it.  I can't wait to try it and pictures to come soon.

Nails are Not Tools

I have this extreme desire to note that nails are  not tools. My mother's nails are so strong she uses them as a screwdriver. If you want to wear a ring please wear it around your finger and not your nail.  They are also not for scratching lottery tickets. They are not for biting when you are hungry, for heaven sakes buy a snickers bar.  Nails are especially not for picking your nose at the red light where I have to see it.  If you must please do this in private.

So, why do we have nails?

Though the ages scientists have disagreed about whether or not toenails and fingernails serve to protect our digits, our resources all agree that our nails help us pick up little stuff like pencils, peanuts, and even bottles of nail polish.

Ok, got that off my chest.  Now, with the weekend coming we usually go for something black.  I do, and why shouldn't we.  Everyone looks good in black but I say add some red and white and you've got a knockout of an outfit.  Add some red shoes, (not white) a white scarf, with some red earrings the possiblities are endless as they are for your polish.  I wore this manicure this weekend and got alot of compliments.  Here it is.

A VERY BAD DAY

Today we found out Goldie has kidney stones. She will be having surgery to have them removed on Wednesday. If anyonereadsthis please keep her in your prayers.

GOLDIE FANCY DRESS

I got this in the mail.  It is for Goldie so she can wear on my birthday.  I of course don't have anything yet.

What A Week

It has been a pretty hectic week. Monday I had a car accident. No damage to either car, but of course some people get so paranoid about their dirty 9 year old car she had to call the police. I surprisingly stayed pretty calm. Cop came laughed, asked if anyone was hurt, no injuries were reported, until Thursday when the you know what said her neck hurt. Right. My insurance company is really going to believe that one. Goldie got grounded on Thursday because she had to start a fight with another female dog. She does not like other females and she was in heat this week. Her punishment was light, no treats for the day. That really kills her. I got a lot of packages this week. Here are the pictures. I haven't done anything great with my nails. I am really working on getting good pictures but I am having some problems. My husband promised to help this week so I am hoping to get a good manicure and show you all a possible dupe. My BIG surprise this week was "Dancing With the Stars". William Levy is on! Can I say CALIENTE! I have watched his novelas and have alwyas liked him, so you know who I am rooting for. Well enjoy my mail hall and don't laugh at one of pictures.

I got these at www.modelsownit.com.   They had a good deal on them they cost 3 for 15 euro.  I used the currency converter and realized it was only around $17.50 and shipping was around $3.00.  I thought that was a great value.  I am always looking for a bargain.   I am embarrassed to say I have around 500 nail polishes and don't pay more than $8.00 a bottle. 

American Apparrel

Ok, this one was bad.  I told my husband I wanted to go down to the area of town where American Apparrel was.  I told him I wanted to see what was down there.  SURPRISE!  There is nail polish there.  Plus they had those big brief bathing suit bottoms which fit but those tops, well let's just say I probably needed two.  But the nail polish is 3 for $15.00.  A great deal.  When I swatched them they also went on so smooth and needed only one coat.

Blue Monday

Well, it was a blue Monday here in Houston.  It rained and I couldn't seem to get it together.  I also had a tiny fender bender no damage to either car but the stupid lady I bumped insisted on calling the cops.  When the cops got there.  He said most cops won't even show up.  Well, I am not going to worry about it,  that is what I pay high insurance premiums for.

I did a simple manicure.   I used Sinful colors Cinderella.  It does take a while to dry and took three coats but the shimmer on the light blue is beautiful.  Then I stamped RA 119.

Just had to show you this great find

I just wanted to show you all these great Ugg boots that were delivered around three days ago.  I was hoping it was something from Transdesign but was elated that it was these boots.

Who is Goldie?

The name of the blog is Patty and Goldie's day off.  Goldie is my Pekingese.   I have had her since she was a puppy.  I consider her my baby and she literally is my constant companion.  She loves to get dressed in clothes I buy her.  She won't leave home without a nice outfit.  She also does not go to get "groomed", no, she goes to the "beauty shop".  She gets a mani and pedi but it doesn't last to long for some reason.  Now after the beauty shop.   We always do something kinda bad we both love Chick fil A.  She gets a four piece nugget and she always has to go and greet the people at the drive through window.  After that it is nap time.   She is just so cute.  I watch a Spanish novela because I am just a sucker for William Levy.  (if you don't know who he is look him up on the net.  He is really hot!].  Goldie is really smart, she has watched so many novelas and I talk to her in Spanish, she is now bilingual.  Whenever, I paint my nails she sits next to me and is really interested in what is going on. For this reason I have added her to my blog.  Here are some photos of Goldie.

LASIK

I had my LASIK done and I have to say, there is down time. I am in some pain and did have a complication. I am going to paint my nails, that usually brings my spirits up. I also have bought a few polishes I can't wait to share. Remember tomorrow is Pink Wednesday. Do you always keep to the Pink Wednesday tradition?

FINALLY

I have been working really hard to get this blog together, I realized even though I need to add some scenery to my blog page. This is just a short intro. I have TONS of bottles of nail polish and many stamping designs.
I don't know about you but I do love a bargain. My husband freaks out at how long I can stretch a dollar. I can give you a bargain tip right now. If you like coach handbags, everything in the store is 25 percent off any purchase over $100.00. I got a really good deal on mine. I have been collecting them for seven years and this purse for the price was a rel bargain. I also made the most expensive nail polish purchase I have made in a long time. I ordered rescue beauty line's Scrangie. It is gorgeous. I love Scrangie's blog. Then a three way tie between The Polish Addict, polish fixation and chromatic misadventures. They made me look beyond OPI and China glaze, which used to be the only polishes I bought.
I hope I have given you some information to want to come back and visit.
After, a very long time of wearing glasses and contacts, I am finally getting LASIK. So, I might not post for a couple of days but don't forget me and come back and if any of you have had LASIK. Leave a comment about your experience.
