OPI Press Release Mariah Carey's Line and Swatches

I found this on an OPI website.  It was shown in Canada so I am not real sure if their information will be the same as the US info.  The colors will be the same but release dates can be different and I hope that OPI is not raising their prices to $10.50 a bottle.

Hey, Nicki Minaj, guess what? Mariah’s collaborated with OPI now, too, for her own collection of nail polish — and it’s pretty cool. The eight-shade Mariah Carey by OPI lineup launches in January 2013, a year after the Nicki Minaj OPI set of polishes debuted. The breakdown includes a frosty shade, a creamy shade, a shimmer, a glitter-flakes polish, and four colours with a nifty “Liquid Sand” finish.

“It’s textured nail polish,” OPI executive VP and artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann told a room full of Canadian beauty editors and bloggers this afternoon at the Trump Hotel in Toronto.

“You don’t have to do anything to it, you don’t have to add anything… this is actually how it comes out of the bottle. You don’t put a top coat on it because the matte look is what actually makes it unique [sic],” she said.

“It does take a little bit longer to dry, probably about eight minutes or so, and then you see how the texture comes to the surface.” The four OPI Liquid Sand shades are The Impossible (a sparkly matte fuchsia –sorry, looks more red here), Can’t Let Go (sparkly matte purple), Get Your Number (sparkly matte blue) and Stay the Night (matte black with red sparkles).

From the top, A Butterfly Moment (frosty tan nude), Sprung (shimmery copper), Pink Yet Lavender (pink glitter with lavender shimmer) and Anti-Bleak (deep, creamy purple — and my new obsession).

Look! The Impossible has star confetti in the glitter mix!

The Mariah Carey by OPI collection ($10.95 per polish) will be in salons and spas in January.
What do you think? Can you wait until January? What shade catches your attention most?

Ciao for now,
Patty
