Models Own Beetlejuice Collection II
If I was to tell you how long it took me to get these three polishes you would think I am crazy. First I ordered one from the modelsownit.com website but I did not put that I lived in the US so they were looking for my address in the UK. So, once again I ordered the other two and did put US but when I went to get the receipt it said UK. I emailed and told them that the address was wrong and they said no problem. This went on for two months. I ended up cancelling the order and ordered from Ninja Polish because the have Model’s Own. Now the modelsownit website has all the Model's Own colors but when you convert euro to dollars shipping is like $20.00. The best thing to do there is get a group of girls who want to order something you can’t get on Ninja Polish website and split shopping. If anyone ever wants to do that please contact me and I will gladly do that. Or you might get an email from me if I see something I really want. Ok, I ordered one from Ninja Polish because they were sold out of the other one I wanted so, I left an email me when in stock. As soon as they got it I ordered right away. Got it last week. So now I am going to show it to you. Let me tell you these colors are really pretty and so worth the money which isn’t that much if you order from Ninja they are $18.00 not including shipping. Talking about that. I was bad last night. I ordered 3 Ludurana polishes last night. I only need 3 to complete the whole collection. But I am going to end up ordering some OPI’s maybe. Driving me crazy.
Ok, here is the one that took me the longest to get and you will see why. it is a light blue with a pink and lavender shimmer. I did use OPI’s I Have a Herring Problem very lightly for panties.
The second one reminds me of Ludurana Cyan/Gold. In the bottle it looks totally different that what actually comes out it is called Copper Gold.
The third is called Tropical Sun. It just kind of sat there and I won't even curious about it but when I put it on I was like WOW. I love this one. It is like a combo of peach and pink. All the formulas were smooth and dry pretty fast. But I really don’t know whether it is a fall color.
Then I just couldn’t help but stamp.
So, there is my complete beetlejuice II collection. I have half of one but I am not crazy about some of the other colors so it it not a complete set.

Kimber’s Challenge Day 14 Flowers
Today our challenge is flowers. We girls all love flowers. They mean something, “I love you” or “I am sorry” or “Baby, you rocked my world last night”. What really irritates me is that they never seem to remember what your favorite flowers are. On my anniversary with year my husband calls me and asks me what my favorite flowers are. I am just like oh I guess I know what I am getting so I tell him sterling silver roses or shasta daisies. Why can’t he remember? So we meet for dinner and there he is with daisies. Sterling silver roses are really hard to get with out a day or two order so I know he hasn’t thought this out much. My first husband was good at remembering because he would call my best friend and ask her. His flowers always came with an “I’m sorry”. My second husband always just bought what he liked he was pretty selfish hence the two divorces. I feel like this is a swan song because fall is now upon us and we will be doing more wintery manicures. I did a pink and blue gradient and glued some dried flowers that I finally got yesterday after ordering them over a month ago. Hope you like.
So, what ever the reason for flowers do you have a favorite flower?
Ciao bellas,
Patty

Butter London Knackered and an Ulta Announcement
This is Knackered. I am sure you have seen it on so many website by now you are tired of it but I want to say it is very different than the pictures. The formula was very thin and it took three coats just to get this color. I like it while a lot of the reviews have been bad, so why did I buy it because I wasn’t sure I wanted anything else. Surprisingly my favorite of my Butter London haul was Macbeth. I love it. I was reading The Polish Jinx’s blog and she shows so many different lines coming out from Butter London drooling. Now on 10/5 Ulta will have their Butter London’s buy 2 get one free. It might be all month. I will find out tomorrow and give you an update. OPI is buy 2 polish get 1 top or base coat free. They used to have buy 2 OPI’s get one free but I haven’[t seen those days in two years. So they do have two new colors one is a medium teal and the other is a light brown the teal is called Sprog and the brown one is called Teetotaler. Dillard's has exclusives, Macy’s has exclusives and Nordstrom’s has exclusives. . I knows I don’t have the inside scoop but I tell you what I’ll find out somehow. So there are a lot to chose from or they might be getting ready to get rid of some of the older colors and it might be time to buy those ones that you keep saying I’ll get it later. Ulta also has a 5.00 coupon on the cover and if you don’t get the Ulta catalog you can print the coupon off the internet. Shit, I print about five or six a month. .So, take advantage of that little tidbit
So, are you going to take advantage of the Butter London sale or are you just not a fan?

I Know it Is after Labor Day but……
Ok, it' after labor day but I have been working on this manicure for around three weeks because I don't have an anchor on any of the many plates I have so today, I got a notification from ninja polish ( where I did find a stamp for an anchor that the plate was in, but they got a whole bunch of polish I want so what is a girl to do? I am getting the polish because I won't need an anchor again and if I do, I'll know where to get it next year. So, here is my little interpretation of nautical nails.
I have always liked the nautical look but next year I am going to prepare earlier and have a stamp to do the anchor. You can tell on the right thumb it is a little messy. I tried not show it but oh, well it is what is is.
Ciao bellas.

a-England Never Disappoints
I must say a-England never disappoints me. They offer such a superior product, I am so glad they came out with this new line. I've been dying to post them but we had a computer problem, then an Internet problem and worse of all, I lost ALL my manicures I had saved on the computer, because the other laptop did not need to break no the one I use to post my blogs did. I know I should have backed them up but I just didn't. I don't think there was anything in there that I can't recreate. Most were swatches of Essie's Metallics Line. I got two from the Gothic mythical collection. I love them both. I have the Mythical line and most of the Legends Line. There are only five in this collection so expect to see the other three later. I was just really down last week and I am seeing the effects this week as every day I get packages. I tend to do that when I get a litttle depressed but I wasn't that depressed as I was sick with an ear ache that I get onec a year and it takes me out for a week or so because I can't walk. This week I have just been like doing something everyday. I have really been working on the polish room I need two more shelves which I'll get this weekend. Plus I had to go see my doctor who has put me on a strict sleep medication regimen. So, it seems like everything has been pretty chaotic. Painting my nails is really relaxing and I haven't done a lot of that. My bedtime has to be 2:00 am. I am breaking it right now but I just have to post these pictures. So, here they go.
The first one is Jane Eyre. It is the color of a Bordeaux. It reminds me of Lincoln Park After Dark with some za za zoom because of the flecks of color.
This one is Dorian Gray and I just love the color it is going to be a great neutral this fall/winter. It can be worn with any color.
There are more pictures of Jane Eyre and Dorian Gray. I hope you like them they are excellent polishes. You can get them at several sites a-England, Overall Beauty, Llarowe and Ninja Polish. Just keep an eye out for promotions or who has the lowest price and shipping because different sites have them priced differently.
Well, Ciao, for now,
Patty

The Evi Queen Maleficent
I have to say that out of all the Disney anmated movies, Sleeping Beauty is my favorite. I love that Tchaicovsky did the music and who can resist the littel fairies, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. As Princesss Briar Rose(Aurora) goes wandering through the woods she runs into Prince Philip and they sing. I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream. Corny, but I loved it as a child and now. I even like that evil Maleficent. She was quite a character and at least her skin was normal, you know it wasn't green. So, I have such fond memories of watching the movie as a child and then later with my daughter. So, as I am browsing the book section at Wal-Mart I see it. "The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" by none other than my favorite author Anne Rice. I was over joyed. Sleeping Beauty could now become a vampire and slay the evil Maleficent. WRONG. Anne Rice wrote a Sleeping Beauty Trilogy around the same time of 50 Shades of Grey. Which I was not going to take time to read since my brainiac hall pass Dr. Drew Pinskey said he wished he could get the time back he spent reading 50 Shades of Gray. The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty is much like 50 Shades of Gray. I started reading and then could not put the book down. I knew what I had to do. Order the other two. So, during Labor Day I am telling my daughter about this book and how I was a little disappointed that it was not about vampires but more like 50 Shades of Gray. She was like, "Oh, yeah, Mom the book is good. I will lend it to you when I finish I am almost finished and already ordered the next two." I could not believe my baby was ready such a boook but so was I. I told her to finish her trilogy and I will finish mine we will trade and then go to a long dinner to discuss. She said that would be fine. My book does have an evil queen oh, she is wicked but I don'[t think she paints her nails but if she did I am sure this is the color she would wear. This is Cult Nails Evil Queen. It does make you feel a bit evil when you wear it. You were able to put on a beautiful polish that dries fast and makes your nail looks smashing. You are the envy of every girl how could you not act a little evil wearing this polish.
If you have any comments about this or any post feel free to leave them.

Kimber Challenge Animal Prints
I was kind of out of it last week but I am back in the challenge and today’s challenge was animal prints. I did a snake and I hated the way it looked so I decided to make at least two parts realistic. The Lion spots in Ludurana Cyan/ then the blue is Ludurana green/gold, it could be a fish and the top part is just a zebra strips in Ludurana red/orange. Let me tell you. I am loving these Ludurana polishes. I want the whole line of colors. They look so pretty. I did not do a gradient I just painted the polish on where I thought the stamp would hit the color and I got it pretty close. I like this manicure way more than I like the snake. It is more colorful and I got to use the 3 polishes. I used Konad plate 78 to get the design. I know it is not totally realistic but I think the colors are really nice together.
So, this is what I have for my animal print.

Ethereal Jelly Sandwich---Alert
I have been singing the praises of Elmer's glue as a base for glitter mani's. I might need to take it back. I used it on this jelly sandwich that I did last night. Did my usual lemony flutter and helping hands and my white gloves. Woke up and took a shower. I usually shower at night but my schedule has been so messed up I am trying to change it. Got out of the shower and noticed the polish on one of my nails was gone. I found it perfectly in tact and went and glued it on. On Sunday's my husband and I usually run errands. My polish just slid off. Look at this. Can I reuse them?
The manicure was just what I wanted it to be. I used Opi don't mess with my tutu and a gold round glitter from essence. I think it is something a bride might even wear, but no glue . I think it is possible that since I used a jelly polish it slid off. I will wear this again without glue or after a shower.

So, they look ok if they would have stayed on I was thinking maybe I could use them again and just re glue them on. What do you think?

Glimmer by Erica I Heart You
I think I might have found a polish that will ease my need for Lynnderella when after reading a post by The Crumpet about Lynnderella. I knew something had happened between Llarowe and Ms. Lynn but hearing the whole story made me really not want to buy another Lynderella. I go on ebay everyday hoping to find a bottle for $20.00 like a couple of people said I could but not true. I have found nothing. Now, I found Glimmer by Erica and it is close to Lynderella. I love this polish. I just placed another order and if you win the giveaway you will get one of these polishes too. It goes on fairly well, two coats is all you need and she makes really pretty colors. If you want to see more of her polish you can find her on Etsy.com. Don't forget the glue because that really works it makes me want to wear glitter polish every day. Forget about the foil and the acetone. Glue is the way to go. For those of you who do not know. You place a coat of elmer's glue on your nail as a base. Once it dries, go about doing your manicure, base coat, polish and a topcoat. When you are ready to take it of gently lift a corner with an orange stick and it will come right off. It is amazing.
So, here is I Heart You.
So, here is I Heart You.
These have just a two coats of Seche Vite. One thing I am kind of learning is that you do need to press the glitter down before you put the glitter polish, just to make sure it is compact and the seche vite goes on smoother. I did not do it with this but I did it with another glitter polish I used after this and it makes a big difference. I thought the seche vite was was to shiny so I used Essie Matte Coat on the next pictures and pressed the polish down and you can see a difference.
Do you prefer the matte look or the seche vite? I prefer the matte but I think only because I pressed the glitter down. What do you think?

Out of Sorts
I missed two challenges on Kimbers Challenge. I was pretty sick last week and that I look at my posts and I just feel that was not me. I also took on the Lifeables campaign and it was emotionally very difficult for me. Next month is National Depression Awareness Month and I have to say I do have a story but not what you think a story of my recovery and current remission from depression. I am diagnosed with major depressive disorder. I have a serious condition that my brain does not produce enough serotonin, epinephrine, or norepenehrine for me to normal without medication. My depression is totally chemical. I have suffered from panic attacks since I was around seven years old. A panic attack is terrible. I haven't had one for over a year due to being on the right medication. But right now, I have been struggling with my post traumatic stress disorder. I have suffered so much trauma that I stuffed away that one day it did catch up to me. So, doing the Lifeables was very hard and I did have an incident. So, last week was pretty bad for me with a earache and not seeing my therapist, I did not have a good week. I love doing the promotional ads because when my doctor does feel I can go back to work I cannot go back to what I made a career of which was that of a social worker and he said I can never go back to Law School. So, besides being much older than other people entering the workforce. I have to come up with a whole new career and I have chosen to be a freelance writer. The more things I get published and paid for the better it is for my resume. I just need to be selective of what campaigns I take and the Lifeables, let's just say I was not ready for. I am going to get back to what I was doing. I see other bloggers who just show swatches and have so many followers and I love to stamp and there is always a story behind it. I tried something else and I did not like it. So, I am going back to more stamping with stories behind some of the stampings and not just through out swatches all the time. If you liked what you saw this week and want to see it all the time, I am sorry, you won't be seeing that all the time. There has to be a balance for me and just swatching colors is not for me. So, I am looking forward to tomorrow when I can create a couple of mani's and I do have a couple of polishes that I want to swatch. So, I am coming back because it has depressed me just swatching. I ended up ordering a lot of polish this week and I ordered the whole James Bond collection so I am dying for that to come in. I just wanted to share this with you during National Depression Month I will post about recovery because if you are suffering from depression and think oh well it is just me, you are so wrong. Life can be completely different. I still get sad but that is normal, you just don't need to live like that all the time.
Ciao for now,
Patty

Essie Penny Talk
I don't know how this happened but these are some other pictures I found. This one is Essie's Penny Talk from their metallics collection. I know it came out a while back but sometimes it is good to go back and see a collection and say, I should have bought that but if you don't see it again you could miss out on a really good polish. This one went on so smooth with no streaks. I loved it and it looks so pretty. Since I messed up the braided nail I was going to post on Friday. I am going to use this for a braided nail sometime during the week. It has just the right amount of pink to tone down the brassiness of a gold. I believe this was the best selling polish of the line and in a minute you will see why.
Did you buy Penny Talk when it came out. You can still buy it at Ulta or on ebay or Amazon. eBay and Amazon will be much cheaper than any retail store if you still want it.
Ciao,
Patty
