Doesn']t she look like she is going to die? Would you have taken her to the vet or figured that she was playing "poor me" no treats?

Goldie, what is wrong?
So, on Wednesday, Goldie was acting so weird. Since her surgery, she has not been able to eat any treats and has to eat this yucky food. So, since I was the one who gave her the food she acted like she was dying. I kept calling my husband and he just kept saying she was ok, just punishing me for not giving her any treats. Look at this dog.
My Very First Deborah Lippman
I usually don't spend a lot of money on my polish but I just could not resist to treat myself to something just because so I bought a Deborah Lippman. I bought it off a website called Whereshebuys. They sell a lot of high end brands of every thing even ugg boots which I love. Like I said I am saving for my winter ones. I only have one summer pair and don't think I will be buying another pair unless I come into some extra money.
So, when I was in junior high school. Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin was the makeout song. The whole album was totally makeout music. Well, at least that is what I heard. LOL. It is such a classic album, I still have it on LP. The polish is beautiful and does relate to the first chorus of the song.
"There is a lady who sure all that glitters is gold and she is buying a stairway to heaven"
This polish is very lady like it isn't smooth like stairs and it is covered with gold flecks. Very ethereal. Everytime I hear that song I picture this lady wearing white walking up some gold stairs towards heaven. I really think Ms. Lippman captured this. Even though it is not smooth 2 layers of top coat smooths it out and if you use the foil method for removing glitter nail polish it comes off like a dream. (I will do a tutorial on removing glitter polish using the foil method) Ok. so here are pics of this beautiful fluid in a bottle.

Rockstar Nails #5 Denim Blues
inside with flash
This is from a new polish indie Rockstar Nails. Her name is Erika Botello and is on Etsy. This polish is absolutely gorgeous. The color is denim and it has yellow stringy flakes. I can't wait to wear it on a casual night out. I bought a beautiful yellow one also but did not have time to swatch. I am going to try to get some more swatching in tomorrow. It has been a bad week. Goldie has been sick and right now my stomach hurts so bad I literally want to cut it out of my body. But back to the polish. I really like this line and I am looking forward to her shop opening this weekend so I can buy some more stuff.

Pretty and Polished
Today, I swatched Candy Coated by Pretty and Polished which I bought through the etsy store. If you haven't heard, there is a great indie movement in nail polish right now. Women who have decided to go out on their own and make their own polish. There are several sights to go to buy these polishes Pretty and Polished is at Etsy.com. The store owner is ChelsMarie. The downside of these polishes is since they are hand made they are not always in stock until the owner can make a new batch and sometimes that can be a week or two so if you really really like something and it is in stock. BUY IT!
Candy Coated
Sometimes it is hard to really capture the small particles that make this polish so pretty. It has silver and blue glitters in in but is very sheer so you do need a pink base coat. I used Funky Fingers Sweet Cupcake.
OPI Spiderman Collection
On Friday I got my Spiderman Collection and I was so happy. It is a beautiful collection. I just wish there was a red in the collection.
From left to right: My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Call Me Gwen-ever, Your Web or Mine, Just Spotted the Lizard, Into the Night, Number one Nemesis, Shatter the Scales.
Call Me Gwen-ever
Your Web or Mine
Into the Night
Number One Nemesis
Number One Nemesis with Green Shatter
This is Just Spotted the Lizard which is a really cool polish. It is a duo-chrome it starts with gold and in a different position switches to green.
Just Spotted the Lizard
My Boyfriend Scales Walls
Overall this is a great collection, just wish there was a red. The formula is smooth and dries easily. Although, the shatter does not show well, it does shatter when your polish is completely dry and with a layer of top coat it has a slight glittery shine.
Calling all Insomniacs
I found a fantastic product from Bath and Body Works that really helps me sleep. I have sleep apnea and severe insomnia. I use this stuff before I go to sleep and have a great night sleep. It comes in Lavender/Vanilla and Lavender/Chamomile. If you want to just try it it comes in small bottles for $5.00 a bottle. They also often have buy 2 get one free.

I'm Back
Hi, everybody,
I hope everyone has had a good week! I woke up to great news. I won Polish fixation's giveaway. She has a great blog if you want to check it out at http://polish fixation.com. I also got a lot of packages. A pair of Steve Madden wedges that I did fall flat on my butt in. I just laid on the floor and laughed and thought, "Am I too old to be wearing heels? Thought about it and said, nah". I got up and prayed I didn't fall around my husband because I knew where those shoes would be. I stayed steady all night but did order a pair of TOMS. If you are not familiar with them they are a low closed toe flat. I got those yesterday. Now, I am impressed with the company because for every pair of shoes they sell, they buy a pair for a child who needs one. I think that is pretty cool. So, I have also decided to turn our spare bedroom into the polish room. It will also house my yarn and notions because I really am into crafts. I finally made my way to California last summer and had to go to Venice Beach. It was wonderful. I grew up on the beach and really miss it. We do have beaches here but not like SOUTH PADRE ISLAND. What great memories of Spring Break, bonfires, and making sand castles with my kids. Then there were those quiet moments when I would take a blanket and sit out there till there was nothing I could hear but the crashing of the waves. I miss that. Well, I really wet off there. While in Venice I found the most beautiful shells, so I am going to make a shell mirror. I've always wanted one, so I will have my place to do that. Also to house shoes and an eight year collection of coach handbags. I can also take my little siestas that I like to take every now and then. So, even though I only have 6 followers I have decided to not give up just try harder make contact with bloggers I admire and "keep on, keeping on".
So get ready because I am on a mission.

Nerd Lacquer
In case you have been on another universe everyone in the nail polish world knows that there is a great movement in the independant nail polish world. It is new and exciting and I for one am totally on the band wagon. Today I am wearing The Quantim Bluniverse. It is duo chrome in that it changes from green to blue and has silver glitter. It is a two coater and lasts several days. I always use two coats of top coat. Just out of habit. I am not sure if this color is still available but totally worth the money. NerdLacquer can be found on Etsy, Ninja Polish and Harlow and CO.

Nails are Not Tools
So, why do we have nails?
Though the ages scientists have disagreed about whether or not toenails and fingernails serve to protect our digits, our resources all agree that our nails help us pick up little stuff like pencils, peanuts, and even bottles of nail polish.
Ok, got that off my chest. Now, with the weekend coming we usually go for something black. I do, and why shouldn't we. Everyone looks good in black but I say add some red and white and you've got a knockout of an outfit. Add some red shoes, (not white) a white scarf, with some red earrings the possiblities are endless as they are for your polish. I wore this manicure this weekend and got alot of compliments. Here it is.
