Now Urban Decay has come out with the Naked nail polish palette. How naked can we be? I don't have either eye shadow palette. I have way too many Mac's. So this set was like $24.00 and Sephora said it was an online exclusive. I ordered two one for me and one for my daughter. There is only one color I really like from the set. The first one is called naked. That is the best way to describe this color. It is a nice nude crème. Everyone probably has a color like this in their collection Sidecar. Wasn't crazy about this one alone. It is a glitter that would probably be best over one of the other colors. Toasted is a nude metallic . Did not like this one the formula was too streaky but you could use side car as a topping and it might be ok. Smog. It looks like butter London's shag. Hustle. Hustle is a brownish purple. Creep. It looks a little like Zoya’s Smoke. This is really the only one of the the whole collection that I really like.
Overall, this is a nice collection to give as a gift. Not a polishaholic. I bought it mainly for my daughter and then thought well this is cute for travel but seriously I will probably give it as a gift. Most of us have so many polishes we probably already have these polishes. So, my advice is buy it and gift it or save your money for something else. Ciao Bella's, Patty

Crumpet’s Challenge Day 11 Splatter
Here is my offering for Day 11 of the challenge and I thought outside the box. There is a design on my Leelac plate that looks like a splatter mark so I used it. Plus there is another reason, you are going to say this is stupid but for some reason I can’t seem to get a straw out of it’s package without destroying the straw so someone has always done it for me for the last around 25 years. It started in High School when I would go eat lunch at Luby’s with my parents. EVERYDAY. I would get my straw out of the wrapping and the straw would be destroyed. So, my father started takining it out because he thought I was doing it to get him angry. Then, I got married and my husband would be sweet enough to take the straw out. Then the kids did it. Then my next husband practically put a bib on me to eat he was so precise. I never came clean with anyone. I would secretly try and the strawwould always break or something. I finally admitted to Michael that for some reason I couldn’t take a straw out of it’s wrapping. He said he knew. He said he saw me once trying to do it. He didn’t know what was going on but not to embarrass me he just started taking it out for me. So, my splatter was done with a stamp because my husband worked late last night and I wanted to get it done before he got home so I did the best I could and used the splatter stamp. At least I am being honest. I have done splatter mani’s and cann do them with a straw that has been opened for me.
So there is my splatter mani. Hope you like it.
Ciao,
Patty

Crumpet’s Challenge Day 10. Gemetrici
I know, I am behind but for some reason I have been so sleepy during the day that I have had to take a nap for the last three days. That really messes up my day and the bed in the polish room I think is so much better than the bed we had in our room that I just sleep like a baby.
This manicure was not a fail until I decided to put a matte top coat on it. It didn’t need it I was using only my suede's to do it. I just felt weird with not having a top coat. It was a little different working with the suede's because they dry so fast you can’t use a dotting tool and have to use a brush to grab a tiny bit of polish and then go back for a second coat. It really looked a lot better without that stupid top coat. I used all my suede's and my Leelac big plate to get the design. Now I am kind of wishing I had put a top coat of Nubar top coat it might have looked like stained glass windows but I didn’t. So, it is what it is.
So, there is my geometric entry. We can’t be perfect at everything and Geometry was never my strong suit but I gave it my all and I think I was creative in using suede's so I am not going to get too down on myself. I have learned a lesson. Never put a matte coat on suede's., they don’t need it.

Kimber’s A-Z Challenge A
No, I am not crazy. Yes I have joined another challenge. This is an A-Z challenge. You have to swatch a color that starts with A or the name of the company needs to start with the letter. I am late turning this in, we will be posting every Wednesday. So what I have today is Angeline from American Apparel. Does that mean I get a triple word score. Angeline is a coralish pink. I love the color and American apparel polishes.
So that is my entry for A.

Day 9 Saran Wrap Mani
Saran Wrap Mani?? Not done more than one. So this was a challenge. I was wearing Butter London's Posh Bird then looked around to find what I thought might be the perfect polish for this challenge. I chose a Nerd Lacquer I had called I Aim to Misbehave and went about doing the manicure. I think it came out alright. In hindsight maybe black would have been better but that is just boring. So, I hope you like what I did.
So there is my entry for today’s challenge.

Day 8 Crumpet’s Challenge Flakies
I remember when I started doing nails flakies were just getting popular and it appeared that besides the Nfu’oh's there was one polish that was making a big hit on the blogs. Klean Kolors Black Chunky Holo on top of Zoya's Envy. Well here it is again and as pretty as it always was.
So there are my flakies. I like the color combo. What do you think?

I Love Nail Polish Party of Four
So, Saturday night I was strolling the web and ended up in Etsy and found this beautiful glitter polish. I went to the owner website and found great glitter polishes. Not all are the chunky glitter polish which is good because I have a lot of chunky glitters but not too many small glitters. Smaller glitters can be more workable because you can put it on a sponge to create sparkly tips. Always hesitant when buying something new. I only bought one bottle. I was amazed when I got this polish. First it came in a box and the bottle was just so perfect. I contacted the owner her name is Barbra, she looks really nice in her picture and in her emails and told her how professional her polish is. I have never seen an indie look like this. I was impressed. If you order she also has a list for bloggers to sign up to review products from time to time. So, I did end up taking a lot of pictures and ordering two more polishes. One of them is Goldie, I had to. Goldie will be doing a post this week so watch for that one. She will be modeling her new clothes. Back to the polish I bought it on Etsy for $10.00 a bottle. Not a bad price when you see how much polish is in the bottle and that finer glitters just tend to last longer. So check her out and if you like something well... you know we are powerless over polish.
So, I did on blue and white which do you like better? So, I was supposed to have the first part of my favorites done today but I got so much mail yesterday. Random stuff from Sephora and four Butter Londons. I was a little overwhelmed and then I had a family commitment. So, I only got about a forth of it done. I will have it all by the end of the week. It will be a funny post so I have it written it is just getting the pictures together.
So ciao for now, I must go to sleep.

Day 7 Crumpet's Challenge Ombre Nails
I started out doing a skittle manicure but changed my mind to a ombré because I just love the look. I used OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh and Essie' s Sew Psyched and stamped using BM313 just some lines so the ombré would not get overpowered by the stamping.
Well that is my offering for today’s challenge see you tomorrow when the challenge is flakies or holo.

Owls and Lacquer Kittens and Teacups
Owls and Lacquer is the creation of Mara from Mara in Polishland. This particular polish is called kittens and Teacups. It is a white jelly with black and pink glitters it is so cute because you can wear it plain or with French Tips. By the that is a good way to make your manicure an extra day if you are not a stamper. Put a tip on your polish with another coat of top coat. I do that sometimes. You can but these at Mara in Polishland or Colores de Carol. Check it out. You can also follow her on twitter.
With pink tips
With black tips
So, another new indie line. I really like this one, it is sweet and the formula is really good.
Ciao for now bellas,
Patty

Peanut Butter and Glitter, Please
Ahh, yes, I took a break from blogger but not a break from painting my nails. Heaven forbid. So during my hiatus I was able to do some manicures I had not been able to do. Oh, I also got a lot of polish because I was kind of depressed and my husband felt so bad for me because he did catch me crying and I told him there are times I want you around and now here you are and I am working on my blog. I just want to spend time with you and my daughter. He said ok. So, today is sad because I miss my baby, Michael is back at work and my girlfriend found an apt., but I still have Goldie. She did pretty well for Hanukkah but in the end I think I was the big winner. I did get a lot of polish, a coach purse, coach sunglasses, a pair of shoes I wanted and a little clothing haul. But don't think that everything was not planned well in advance and not on sale. Coach had their 25% off sale the shoes were on sale plus because my roommate's mom worked at Dillard's we used her discount and got and extra 25% off. and the clothing haul. Coupons from Macy's buy $25.00 get $10.00 off. So, I use one upstairs and my husband uses the other one downstairs. He is just as bad as I am maybe worse. But anyway. I did this mani the day my daughter and I went down to American Apparel, where yes I bought 3 polishes in my defense though I gave my daughter about five of them. Indies and some OPI's, ash, hell, she could have taken anyone she wanted and it would have been ok with me except for OPI's Jasper Jade that is a VHTF. She can use it when she comes to visit. So, also if you read my blog I might have mentioned that one of my favorite things to eat is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If you watch Breaking Bad. I make mine like Walt does. My husband and sister started laughing when they saw that, oh well. This mani is just a happy mani. I used a green finger paint polish on the bottom and I don't know what the name is because the label is off. Then I used Kb Shimmer's Clown Puke. Then a layer of Zoya's Frida and this is what I got.
Jelly sandwiches are easy and look so good. There is no way anyone can mess this simple manicure up so if you haven’t tried them yet. Get creative and try it and them have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Ciao for now,
Patty
