I decided to to a fabric that most people would recognize. So, I chose Burberry fabric. It wasn’t that difficult to do if you can keep you hands steady because the fabric consists mainly of strips. I used cult nails in cruising nude. Then three stripers black, white one and a red one to create the design.
personally I don’t own anythingi n ths pattern. I have seen it several times and just pulled up a pictue of it.

Crumpet’s Challenge Day 20 Texture
Crumpet’s Challenge Day 19 Favorite Polish
Guest Post Ciate Mainstream and Black Cat Lacquer Strangelove
This the guest post from IHeart Pretty Polish I did on Thursday in case you missed it.
Today I am posting for Essie who has a crisis with one of her nails.
My name is Patty from Patty and Goldie's Day Off and today I have a beautiful polish called Main Stage from Ciate. It is beautiful magenta and the company touts it as "being the color to go with any skin tone" which is a plus if you have sisters, it is easier to con Mom into buying it for you. I only have sisters so I think I have a little experience in this area.
So, let's take a look and see what you think?
The formula on Ciate is wonderful. I would even venture to say it is better than Butter London. It smoothes on like cream. It dries fast and the color is very pigmented. Two coats and that is it. To give my manicure a little bling I did an accent nail with Black Cat Lacquer Strangelove. A magenta glitter with lavender, magenta and black glitters. I had never used black cat and was really amazed at the way it went on so smoothly a little goes a long way and I like that. So, as far as buying. I bought the Ciate on the Nordstrom website and Black Cat Lacquer on Etsy.
Ciao for now, and let’s hope Essie gets better soon so she can bring her wonderful samplings to you.

Crumpet’s Challenge Day 18 My Oldest Untried
My oldest untried I determined was probably a year old it is called Haze Glaze by Windstine. It is so pretty I don't know why I haven't tried it before. It was starting to thicken so I put some polish thinner and it just went on great. I love it. In doing this challenge though I do realize I am going to have to have a blog sale soon. I have a whole bunch of things coming in but nothing is going out. It might take me some time to let go but it must be done.

Butter London Posh Bird
I got this when Butter London had a sale. If I had known how beautiful this color is I would have bought it long before I bought some other ones I bought. This color is like a toss up between a light purple and grey and then there are times it looks like silver. I totally love this polish that just happens to go with anything you wear.
Do you think this is a neutral color?

Crumpet’s Challenge Day 17 New Technique
Now, I don’t know what the hell happened here. I have done one nail like this and it came out great. I think it may have been the colors I used. I got close but by no means is this perfect. It was my second attempt. I could have done a fishtail or marbling and no one would have known that I am very comfortable doing these two techniques even gradients, but I wanted to challenge myself. This is what came out. I am kind of okay with it and I will do it again until I master it, but for now it what is. I put out my best and I think that is what challenges are about. Doing the best you can at the time and in this challenge if it is not perfect it is okay just keep trying. What would be bad is for me to sit here and say I will never do that again. In a month I will post this technique again and it will be better but I won’t give up and that is what matters.
When you come up against a challenge do you give up if you fail or do you fight till you get it right?

Crumpet’s Challenge Day16 Color Opposites
In doing this challenge you basically only have 3 choice color combo's. red and green, too Xmasy, yellow and purple and all I could think of was Barney, then there is blue and orange. I can deal with that. I actually love orange so that was where I was going. I used Jade in holographic and Glitter Gal orange and of course dotting tools. What colors would you choose given those color combo. Ciao, Patty

Crumpet’s Challenge Water Color Day 15
This is the hardest challenge. My best friend of over 20 years is an artist and I know she used to spend an enormous amount of time preparing the background I used to help her. She had a studio in the middle of downtown. It was really hard work but just those moments working together on something I knew was going to be incredible was worth it. I miss those times so much but when a friend who you love so much commits the ultimate betrayal you must step away. I haven't seen her in twelve years but it was amazing that I did this challenge it was do hard because she had taught me to lay out the background but it doesn't work on nails so there were so many strokes that had to be thought out to reverse my brain. This by far has been the most difficult challenge. Here is my offering. I am sorry but I can't even begin to tell you what polishes I used. One color I know I used OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark.
It is supposed to be tortoise shell. Did I at least come a little close?

Crumpet’s Challenge Day 14 Stamping
I had been dying to do this manicure. I love to stamp. Love it! I stamp almost everything. When I am just showing switching. You'll find my nails switched in that same color later on. The only thing I don't always stamp is indies. I think stamping is great it can prolong your manicure. It' just about the best thing since frozen yogurt. So, here is my stamping. Now, what I did to get this look was just so easy. I used Essie's Don't Sweater It, then I used Essie Matte Top Coat once I was sure it was dry I stamped with Konad Black Pearl using my lee lac plate B. What do you think? Ciao, Patty
Kimber’s Challenge -----The Letter B
Ok, maybe I am being a smart ass but I have another triple letter score. Barielle' Blackend and Blue. I just couldn't help myself. But seriously this is a beautiful blue. I gave it a little bling with some Black Cat Lacquer Strangelove and I really like the look it achieved. So, what is your favorite b color? Ciao Patty

Crumpet’s Challenge Day 13 Cheer Me Up Mani
I did this mani because it was bright and wild and it just makes me happy to see how the colors go from here to there. It reminds me of something really psychodelic and reminds me of my teenage years.
Then I stamped a peace sign and the word Love on the manicure and that made me happy.

NOTD Ciate Starlet
I know that the blogging community has some problems with Ciate last year when the put out the C&D order but they have a great line of polishes. I got this little gem on Thursday. I have been dying to wear it. It is absolutely gorgeous. It is blue with a teal duochrome. The formula is great it dries fast and just shows beautifully. This is like my 6th bottle and I have no complaints. I almost feel like I have been hiding the fact that I have them and then thought this is stupid. It is up to you if you want to buy Ciate or not. I might lose followers, might gain some and some of you may have no idea what I am talking about other than thinking that is one hell of a pretty polish. My husband still won’t wear Tommy Hilfiger over something he said over 15 years ago. I like Ciate polish and if there is a color I like I am going to buy them if this is how beautiful their polishes are.
It is a gorgeous color and when it gets low if it is still around I will buy another. I got this one at Nordstrom for $15.00 which I did have to order because they don’t carry it in the store. I still would order anyway. Save gas money.

Crumpet’s Challenge Day 12 Tape Mani
When I saw this challenge I knew I was going to do something quilted. I love the quilted design, I don’t like putting the tape on my nails. It is a challenge to put the tape on 6 pieces on each nail. Then you have to make sure to take the right one on off first. I have been practicing this look and this is the first time I have ever done it for show. I used Ninja Polish Humble Bumblebee Floam and Essence black polish. I used laser tape.
This was a challenge but overall it was fun to do and the more you practice like with anything else the better you will get.
